FAQ

HOW LONG ARE YOUR CLASSES?
Our classes run for 50 minutes. There is a total of 3 people per class.

ARE THERE BEGINNER CLASSES?

If you are new to Pilates Sweet Stretch requires all beginners to start off with a few private lessons so that you can create a practice.  A minimum of 5 lessons is required. Once you have a basic understanding of Pilates and how the equipment works, you will have no problem joining our Pilates Reformer Class.

WHAT DO I WEAR AND BRING TO CLASS?

Wear comfy attire, which you can move freely in. Wear form fitting attire so your body alignment can be seen. Grippy socks must be worn during classes for safety and hygiene purposes. We have grippy socks to purchase at the studio if you don't already own your own.
Please bring water for hydration.

WHAT IF IM LATE?

Don't stress! It happens. Please do your best to let her know you're on the way. Please note if you're more than 10 minutes late, its unsafe to participate and your session will be noted as a late cancel. If you are brand new to our studio please arrive 10 minutes before class so we can introduce you to our studio/instructor and show you how the reformer works. If you have been to our classes before please arrive at least 5mins before.

CAN I CANCEL MY CLASS/PRIVATE LESSON IF I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND?

You can cancel, please ensure to give us 24 hours notice to ensure you don't loose the class and other clients are not missing out on a spot.

Please give us 24 hours notice to cancel Private Lessons.

Cancel on the Mindbody app for classes , via email or call/text Sheena to cancel private lessons. Please note that that is a $50 rescheduling fee for private lessons that are rescheduled for the third time.

WHAT IS A SEMI-PRIVATE?

A Semi private lesson is a private lesson consisting of 2-3 people.  Training with friends/family is fun and motivating!

WHATS THE MINIMUM AGE TO ATTEND CLASSES?

There isn't a minimum age for private lessons. Sheena has taught students as young as 12 years of age.  However classes require that you are 16+

 

I HAVE AN INJURY, CAN I STILL ATTEND A CLASS ?

It will depend on your injury and your road to recovery. You may need to get a medical certificate from your GP/Physio before you can attend. It’s best to give us a call before booking and participating in a class to make sure you’re not putting yourself at risk of further damage.

If you are injured, in which case we will request a medical certificate, Extension on expired packages must be requested before the expiry date. If the expiration is past six months there will be no extension.

HOW LONG AFTER BIRTH CAN I ATTEND A CLASS?

We ask that you wait until after you receive the all clear from your 6 week GP/Obstetrician check up to make sure that everything is healing well and there is no abdominal separation issues.

WHAT IF I'M PREGNANT, CAN I ATTEND A CLASS?

If you are new to Pilates, we ask that you not start our classes until after your pregnancy. For current clients, you can attend group classes but only until you’re 15 weeks along. After this, due to our dynamic style of training, you can no longer attend group classes. Private sessions would be preferred.

CAN I TRANSFER OR SHARE MY SESSIONS?

No, all packs are non transferable, they cannot be shared and must be used by the expiry date.

 

PURCHASE POLICY

All classes, packages and private lessons are final sale. 

No refunds or exchanges.

WILL MY CLASS PURCHASES EXPIRE?

Yes! Because we want you to stay motivated and hit your goals.
